Seven cops booked for abduction
By our correspondent OKARA: On the order of Additional Sessions Judge Gul Abbas, Sadr police registered a case against seven policemen on the charges of abducting a man and extracting money from his father. Eight killed as van falls into Neelum River MIRPUR: Eight persons were killed and 10 others injured when a passenger van skidded off the road and fell into the Neelum River near Devlian village in Muzaffarabad district on Friday after**on, police said. Bilawal forms oversight body on Kashmir polls ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has constituted a oversight committee to get good results of the forthcoming elections of Members Legislative Assembly in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Incharge Political Affairs of PPP MNA Faryal Talpur will head the oversight committee, which is constituted to help resolve issues of the contesting candidates party, sources told APP on Friday. They said that the committee will also look after the ongoing election campaigns of the party candidates and monitor the polling process. Three friends shot dead in Daska By our correspondent DASKA: Three friends were shot dead by unidentified people in the Bombanwala police limits. Rs70m recovered from power defaulters By our correspondent PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recovered Rs70 million from defaulting power consumers in two months. A communiqué by the bureau stated that special recovery teams were constituted to pursue cases of willful defaulters who owed money to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company and Tribal Electric Supply Company. Reports said that Allah Di** Khaskheli, along with his friends, was on his way home when his car was hit by an oil tanker.
