A patron dining at the restaurant on May 11 at 3 a.m. gave Shaina Brown, 26, a ,000 tip on his credit card for a meal that cost $7.55. But Waffle House refused to run the transaction on the tip; its tipping policy states that unusually large tips must be dispensed either through check or cash.
