American Idol's 2006 fourth place winner drew a variant cover for*Batman #50, and it's crazy good.* SEE ALSO: Here's how to draw the ultimate matchup: A Batman V Superman emoji Daughtry posted a few sneak peaks at the artwork on his Instagram a few months ago, following up with an image of the cover in the flesh on March 22. In an interview with Uproxx, Daughtry said that his bath to becoming a professional comic book artist began when he was a contestant on Idol. He messaged artist Jim Lee on Myspace and the two became friends, their correspondence eventually leading up to the variant cover. Read more...
