Sam Simon, the Cocreator of The Simpsons, has turned a horrible diag**sis into something beautiful. Two years ago, Sam was diag**sed with terminal colon Cancer and was given a prog**sis of three to six months. Instead of shying away from the spotlight, Sam has spent the past two years working to give his multimillion-dollar fortune to charity.
Sam spoke to Maria Shriver in an interview for NBC about his experience, stating, "They showed me my scans and said, 'These are the scans of a dead man.'" But, Sam says that despite undergoing grueling treatments, he has never been happier. Sam has chosen to donate his fortune to a number of institutions, including his own animal-centered charity, The Sam Simon Foundation; PETA; Save the Children; and Feeding Families.
