Barco Coronis Uniti High-End 33-Inch Display for PACS, Breast Imaging (VIDEO) Barco is releasing a new monitor that’s specifically designed for PACS and Breast tissue imaging. The Coronis Uniti has a 33″ screen with an impressive 12 megapixels (4,200 x 2,800) of resolution, and features its own graphics processing that can provide both high quality color reproduction and DICOM compatible grayscale images. The Display comes with a touchpad that can be used to easily manipulate images and scroll through volumetric scans with a lot of slices.
There are also a few in**vative features that we haven’t seen before on other displays. A light on*the rear of the monitor softly illuminates the wall behind it, reducing strain on the eye and creating a more pleasant environment to work in. There’s also a light that can illuminate the desktop below the monitor, helping to work with papers while using the Display in a darkened room. The Coronis Uniti can also easily turn into a old fashioned light box by turning the screen white and thanks to a film clip located along the top of the monitor.
The Uniti also includes features such as Color Per Pixel Uniformity for less **ise and Ambient Light Compensation that corrects the image for the light in the room. There’s also automatic calibration and something called RapidFrame tech**logy that lets you quickly flip through lots of images without degradation in quality.
