PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco)on Thursday said it was **t carrying out extra loadshedding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In response to a news item published in a section of the Press, the Pesco spokesman said in a statement that ** one had directed the company for any extra-loadshedding and additional load-shedding was carried out in any part of the province.
It said that a delegation led by President Industrial Association Peshawar Malik Niaz, Mohammad Shafiq, Senior Vice-President Chamber of Commerce Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maqsood Anwar President Kohat Road Industrial Association Peshawar and Zarq Khan Member of Industrial Association Peshawar called on Chief Executive Pesco Tariq Saddozai at the Wapda House, Peshawar.
The press release added that the industrialists also denied that any extra-loadshedding in their industrial estates and said they never complained of any excessive power outages.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) also issued a press release on Thursday wherein its President Zahidullah Shinwari said that duration of loadshedding was **t increased in the industrial estates.
It said the KPCCI president called on Tariq Saddozai at Wapda House Peshawar and requested the Pesco chief to gradually decrease duration of loadshedding for the industrial sector.The release further said that the Pesco chief assured the KPCCI president that the loadshedding duration for the industrial sector would be decreased gradually and uninterrupted power supply to the sector would be insured, it further said.
