Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson’s busy filming schedule loses him practice time w

</p> DANCING on Ice star Kieron Richardson today said he hopes he wonâ??t be in the skate-off for a second week after missing crucial rehearsal time.

The 24-year-old heart-throb is trying to fit in ice-dancing practice with his filming schedule for Hollyoaks.

He is so busy in the build up to Sundayâ??s live show that he cannot join the other contestants to prepare for their first group routine.

And he will not practice with the other celebrities and Dancing On Ice stars Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean until the dress rehearsal.

Kieron, who plays Ste Hay in the soap, said: â??We went on Monday to learn the basic choreography for the routine.

â??Theyâ??ve had some training all together but Iâ??ve just had to learn my bits and will fit it in with the group in rehearsals on Saturday.

â??Itâ??s our first routine together, because it is on Valentineâ??s Day everyone will dance and weâ??ll end up in the shape of a love heart.

â??They are also planning to drop 1,000 red balloons on to the ice, so that will be interesting.â?*

But Kieron admits heâ??s feeling the pressure after coming in the bottom two alongside Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills.

The judges said the skate-off between the two celebrity ice skaters â??couldnâ??t be closerâ?* but four out of five panellists voted to give Kieron another chance.

He said: â??Iâ??ve been more worried about doing my own routine.

â??Itâ??s difficult because Iâ??m filming for Hollyoaks and then rehearsing on the ice, but what I struggle with the most is that I canâ??t switch off, Iâ??m still thinking about my lines for Hollyoaks.

â??There are so many really good skaters in the competition that I think anyone could have been in the bottom two last week.

â??Before I was in the skate-off I thought it would be the scariest thing in the world, but I was actually more comfortable to dance in the skate-off than the show. I was just thinking Iâ??m dancing with Brianne [Delcourt] and it could be the last time so it was a genuine dance.

â??It was quite scary because there were so many Hollyoaks cast members who were in the audience. I was nervous, especially with Ricky [Whittle] watching because he did so well in Strictly and I was there in the skate-off.â?*

The lowest mark went to GMTVâ??s Dr Hilary Jones but he was voted in by the public.
