Daniel Radcliffe explains why he probably will never play Harry Potter again

We have some bad news for Harry Potter fans still hoping to see Daniel Radcliffe in a Cursed Child movie someday.

Of course it seems like a perfect idea to bring Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint back together in about ten years’ time for a movie reunion based on JK Rowling’s epic sequel play â?? but Dan isn’t very keen.

Radcliffe famously never went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child during its West End run, and now has admitted to Variety that he has mixed feelings about ever again revisiting The Wizarding World.

When asked if he would ever consider playing The Boy Who Lived Again, he said: “I don’t think so. I don’t like say ‘no’ to things, but it’s not something that I’m rushing to do. I feel like those films have moved on and they’re doing just fine without us. I’m happy to keep it that way.

“I like what my life is now. I’m not saying that I’ll never go back into any franchise, but I like the flexibility that I have with my career now. And I don’t want to get into a situation where I’m signed up for one series for years in advance.”

Instead of haunting the halls of Hogwarts, Radcliffe is busy outrunning a twisted murder game in his upcoming action comedy Guns Akimbo.

The R-rated movie sends Radcliffe on a wild ride with guns bolted to his hands as he’s forced to fend off killers and all sorts of other criminals if he wants to survive the world’s deadliest game.

Guns Akimbo is now playing in US cinemas, but the film does not yet have a UK release date.
