Ricky Tomlinson launches Clatterbridge centre for Oncology آ£100k appeal

</p> ROYLE Family star Ricky Tomlinson launched a Merseyside hospital campaign to help cancer patients.

Clatterbridge centre for Oncology has appealed for آ£100,000 to refurbish a unit for people with head and neck cancer.

The Mask Moulding Unit at the hospital currently helps protect patients who need radiotherapy. A specialist radiographer makes masks of every patientâ??s face to make sure they stay completely still during treatment.

But the facilities are in desperate need of refurbishment according to health chiefs. The charity arm of the hospital â?? Clatterbridge your cancer centre â?? has launched the appeal.
