Hometown girl Rebecca meets fans for album signing at Liverpool One
</p> Pop star Rebecca Ferguson met her Hometown fans in Liverpool One tonight. The X Factor singer signed copies of her new album Freedom for customers, who queued around the block to get in. Rebecca told the ECHO: â??Itâ??s so surreal. Normally I come here to do my Christmas shopping. I felt really weird coming in and people were waiting. â??Itâ??s lovely to think that people have come out to see me. Iâ??ve always felt so much support in Liverpool. The people are so friendly and I love doing signings because you get to met people face to face. They are saying â??whatâ??s it like to be home?â?? but Iâ??m always here. I get homesick if Iâ??m away too long.â?* </p>  Scouse singing sensation Rebecca Ferguson, who was signing copies of her album before performing a song for her awaiting fans at HMV in Liverpool ONE Rebecca and her children Lillie May and Karl are looking forward to a family Christmas with mum Anne. â??Iâ??m cooking,â?* Rebecca said. â??I love Christmas. Iâ??m getting the tree tomorrow and weâ??re going to sit down together and watch Elf to get in the Christmas spirit. I need to get organised and get all my presents sorted.â?* Freedom is out now, and its first single I Hope was released on Sunday. The album follows her million selling debut Heaven, which was released in 2011. It went double platinum in the UK and entered the Billboard charts at No 23. As with Heaven, Rebecca has co-written the new album, working mainly with new collaborators including Jarrad Rogers, with whom she wrote five tracks, as well as regular collaborator Eg White. She said: â??Since the release of Heaven, so much has changed in my life. I feel like Iâ??ve learned more in the past two years than in the rest of my life put together and this is reflected in the music on this record. Iâ??ve put my heart and soul into it. </p>  Crowds gather outside HMV in Liverpool ONE to await homegrown singing sensation, Rebecca Ferguson, who was signing copies of her album before performing a song for her fans in Liverpool â??If itâ??s passionate, vulnerable, soulful and raw thatâ??s because everything Iâ??ve gone through when making the record has driven the music and lyrics. Iâ??m not someone who can just go into a studio at any time and just create â?? I need drama and passion. â??If the first album was a collection of great songs, this new album is more of a coherent statement. Iâ??m excited again.â?* Rebecca has announced a show at EchoTwo at the ECHO arena Liverpool on March 23, 2014. Tickets are already going fast. â??Playing the ECHO arena was a real highlight of the last tour,â?* she said. â??It was probably my favourite show Iâ??ve ever done so to play there again is just unbelievable.
