Hollyoaks? Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna are both set to leave the show
</p> Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna hit our screens as the McQueen sisters back in 2006 and the pair have been regular characters ever since. But after the news broke that Gemma Merna was leaving the show, just days later Jennifer Metcalfe confirmed the same news. Gemma took to Twitter to address the speculation that the much-loved Carmel McQueen was leaving the village. She added: “…people and have some of the best friends I could ask for. I have some great story lines ahead of me and can’t wait to get stuck into…them”. And Jennifer Metcalfe joined her fellow cast mate as today she revealed on Twitter that she was also making her exit. The 30-year-old beauty added: “Lookin forward to welcoming the new mcqeens (their ace ) lots of love and keep watching”. It is believed that Gemma Merna will leave the show later this year as she has other business ventures that she is excited to embark on such as her calendar which she recently shot in Ibiza. Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday she said: “I’ve had a great time being part of the show for eight years and I’m excited to push myself and explore new avenues.” Gemma added: “”I’ve got an exciting business launch for later in the year that I’m working on.
