What our Scouse stars were wearing 10 years ago

</p> For many, when we look back at photos from the early 00s it is a painful reminder that chunky belts and knee high boots were never a good combo.

And those baggy combat pants and scraggly hair extensions, What was I… er… What were we thinking!?

But that is us, the common folk, What about our Scouse royalty? What were they wearing? Did they make the same fashion faux pas as us? And did they look as bad as that picture from New Year’s Eve 2002?

Well, after looking through the ECHO archives, I am pleased to announce that our Liverpool starlets did us proud, there weren’t any outfits that needed a discreet call to the fashion police.

Sure, there is a dated choppy bob here and an odd handkerchief shaped skirt there, but from Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon and Brookside’s Jennifer Ellison to Hollywood actress Kim Cattrall and Spice Girl Mel C, they all look amazing.

They may get the odd side eye if they were to go out in some of those outfits today, in 2015, but even then, no one could deny that they still look flawless.
