Re-discovered photographs of Cilla Black last seen 40 years ago released ahead of her

</p>Rarely seen pictures of Cilla Black have been released ahead of the star’s funeral later today.

Her record label Parlophone has allowed the ECHO exclusive access to a number of photographs charting the star’s early career and her rise to national treasure – most of which have been unseen since the 60s and 70s.

Yesterday it was revealed there are just 600 sales separating her The Very Best Of album from the number one spot in this week’s album charts .

The album, which contains her number one hits ‘Anyone who had a heart’, and ‘Love Of The Loved’, was released in 2013 but well wishers have been buying, streaming and downloading the album in tribute to the star in the wake of her death.

Cilla will be laid to rest at a private ceremony in Allerton Cemetery later today after her funeral in St Mary’s Church, Woolton.

There will be a two-mile public route so that fans of the star can pay their respects.
