Video Shows Three Surfers Riding Wave Under Bridge In Cornwall

A piece of incredible footage has emerged that Shows Three Surfers managing to make it underneath a Bridge on a Wave that had come unusually far up a river in Cornwall.


The Three daredevils successfully ducked beneath the bricks of Nanny Moore’s Bridge in Bude for an amazing stunt made possible by the ridiculous weather that we’ve been seeing over the last few days in the UK.


Basically, a combination of the Snow Moon and the water dumped unceremoniously across everywhere by Storm Ciara created the ideal conditions for the surfers.


Because the water levels had risen so much, they were able to surf right up the River Neet and underneath the bridge, much to the shock and delight of a load of gathered pedestrians.


Two of the Surfers went through the furthest arch, whereas another snuck underneath the inside one. It’s pretty impressive stuff, you’d have to admit.


Then, after their feat of skill, they calmly surfed off further down the river.


Credit: Triangle News This piece of remarkable footage was captured by Paul Pearse, who just so happened to be in exactly the right place at the right time to capture a fairly unusual moment.


Now, speaking of being in the right place at the right time – or the opposite thereof – another surfer managed to get up to some Storm Ciara related hi-jinks the other day.


According to the BBC, a man was found to be struggling in Rye Bay, near Hastings, East Sussex, at around 1:30PM, after he’d been spotted having a struggle at about 11AM.


Clips shared to social media showed the RNLI lifeboat struggling against the seas to reach the man, almost capsizing at one point after getting broadsided by a wave.


In a statement, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: “HM Coastguard has been coordinating the search off Hastings for a missing surfer this afternoon.


“The man has just been located in Rye Bay.


“The surfer was seen to lose his surfboard by a coastguard team who were out on patrol this afternoon.


“The coastguard helicopter, Hastings RNLI Lifeboat, Bexhill Coastguard Rescue Team and Ryde Bay Coastguard Rescue Team carried out the search for him.”
