</p>X Factor hopeful Kiera Weathers now has the backing of an army of celebrity fans including Johnny Vegas.

Kiera, 18, impressed judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw with an emotional rendition of Ella Eyreâ??s We Donâ??t Have To Take Our Clothes Off.

And the moving performance was also a big hit with the St Helens funnyman.

Johnny told his 230,000 followers: â??Another reason to love St Helens with young Kiera wowing the judges tonight on @TheXFactor tonight. Ya made us proud lass, best of luck xâ?*

He then wrote: â??Pure class were that @kieraweathers1 you done us fellow Woolybackâ??s proud Hon. Best of luck with the rest of the @TheXFactor competition :)â?*

Boxer Martin Murray, who like Kiera is from St Helens, tweeted: â??Amazing this Keira on the X Factor. Doing St.Helens proud!â?*

Judge Cheryl has also picked the barmaid as one of her early favourites, tweeting after millions watched her perform and saying she loved her.

The former Sutton Academy student has also won praise from singer Ella Eyre after appearing on the ITV talent show.
