Netflix?s ?Castlevania? Season 3 Release Date Confirmed Alongside Gorgeous New Poster

It might have been a while since we’ve had a thoroughly decent Castlevania game, but Netflix’s incredible anime adaptation continues to go from strength to strength. Season two of Castlevania ended the show on a brutal, bloody, shocking high, and fans around the world can’t wait to see how the upcoming third Season continues the vampire-slaying action.


While details on Season three have admittedly been a little thin on the ground, we now know we don’t have much longer to wait until all is revealed. Castlevania returns to Netflix next month, on March 5th. With it, comes “more mystery, murder, mayhem, and vampires than ever,” according to the streaming service.


The Release Date was Confirmed Alongside a snazzy new Poster starring a host of familiar faces. You can check that out below.


The official synopsis for Season three reads:


“Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.”


Season three will run for ten episodes, with many of the creators behind the first two seasons set to return. Director Sam Deats, writer/executive producer Warren Ellis, and executive producers Adi Shankar, Fred Seibert, and Kevin Kolde are all back for more vampiric intrigue.


Credit: Netflix As it turns out, Castlevania isn’t the only Konami-owned adaptation currently in the works. According to recent reports, a new Silent Hill film is in the early stages of development. Speaking to French site Allocine, Christophe Gans – who directed 2006’s original Silent Hill – is keen to return to that world for more thrills and chills.


“We’re also working on a new Silent Hill,”the director explained. “The project will always be anchored in this atmosphere of a small American town, ravaged by Puritanism. I think it’s time to make a new one.”


Whether this would be a sequel to the 2006 film or a complete reboot remains to be seen. Hell, it’s not even clear if Konami is aware that Gans would like another crack at the IP yet – he could well have just been referring to his plans to pitch a new Silent Hill to the company. We’ll have to wait and see.
