LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said lawyers challenged the government’s writ and obstructed treatment of patients, which is not done even during wars. She chaired a meeting at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) here on Thursday to review the attack on the hospital.Addressing the meeting,she assured that the government was standing with doctors, who were tortured by attackers. She said the government would provide financial assistance after estimating the damages caused to the government and private properties. No one could be allowed to attack hospitals, she warned.Dr Yasmin said all attackers would be brought to book. Attacking doctors is highly condemnable. Doctors and patients would be provided complete protection in the government hospitals, she assured.Additional Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, MS PIC Dr Muhammad Ameer, Chief Cardiologist Dr Saqib Shafi and faculty members attended the meeting.
