BUREWALA: Two minor girls were killed after abduction at Basti Chamanabad of Mauza Jhoni, Tehsil Mailsi, on Friday.Reportedly, seven-year-old Sania and her six-year-old cousin Fauzia, residents of Basti Chamanabad, were on their way to a mosque when they were abducted by some unidentified accused. Later, their bodies were found from fields.Receiving information, Vehari DPO Akhtar Farooq along with other police officials rushed to the spot and launched an investigation by taking the girls bodies into custody. Later, the relatives of the girls staged a demonstration against the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. On the application of Parveen Mai, mother of Sania, Sadar police have registered a case against seven accused.The district police spokesman said Sadar Mailsi police have registered a case No 508/19 against seven accused, including four nominated, and arrested two of them.Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Multan RPO. The CM ordered immediate arrest of the culprits. The CM said that justice would be provided to the bereaved families.
