Jack White Breaks Vinyl Sales Record Set by Pearl Jam in '94
   Blunderbuss singer-songwriter Jack White just scored his second **. 1 solo album on the Billboard 200 chart with his sophomore effort Lazaretto, but more **tably, he also broke the longstanding Record for highest first-week vinyl Sales in the United States in more than two decades His Lazaretto LP — containing a hand-etched hologram of a floating angel — sold more than 40,000 copies in one week, dethroning Pearl Jam's Vitalogy, which claimed the Nielsen SoundScan Record in 1994 with 34,000 copies.
