Patients are understandably confused when they find out that they have been diagnosed with a Serous Borderline tumor (SBT) of the ovary. This article demystifies the SBT and the peritoneal implants that may be associated with this uncommon tumor. Treatment options for SBTs are also summarized, and the importance of an accurate pathologic diagnosis is emphasized.
