The Skeptic's Dictionary is an encyclopaedic attempt to debunk just about every wacky, eccentric or unusual idea currently going the rounds, especially on the internet. This is, to be sure, a laudable project for anyone who regards himself as a scientific rationalist. But, unfortunately, its author falls into the error of himself failing to be scientific in evaluating his subject matter and, through scientific ignorance, rejects solid empirical evidence with a casual wave of the 'skeptical' hand.
