Afghanistan - How the West Has Lost Its Way
The debate about Afghanistan today is not about creating stable state structures alone in my view but also about extending central authority from being just one of many fiefdoms to be the central one. It's about seeing that a country that has practically all but fallen of the map re-emerges as a coherent whole.
