KARACHI: A reporter associated with the Daily Jang newspaper in Karachi has reportedly been detained by ‘plainclothes personnel’ in a predawn raid at his residence on Saturday.Matloob Hussain Mosavi, a young journalist who covers cultural and social reporting for Daily Jang newspaper in Karachi has been taken away from his located at Salman Farsi Society within the limits of al-Falah police station.According to a family and the neighbourers, over a dozen armed people who had covered their faces came and jumped over the wall into his house and took him away with them. The unidentified people also misbehaved with a family during an incident and locked the main door of a house before leaving the area. The armed men also searched the entire house before taking him away with them. They further claimed that the armed men had arrived on at least three vehicles including Parado and Vigo. The family has also filed an application with the al-Falah police station for registration of a case but no case has been registered till the filing of this news story.
