KARACHI: The Sindh government Teachers have announced to boycott classes across Sindh on Friday, in protest against police torture, outside Karachi Press Club.According to details, to mark their protest against the police torture, the Teachers will not conduct any classes. The teaching staff would remain suspended in the public schools of Karachi.President of the Government Teachers Association Ashraf Khaskheli said that they had already announced to boycott from the matriculation examinations scheduled from April 1. The boycott is likely to put exams at risk.Yesterday, the government Teachers protesting outside Karachi Press Club, including females, were beaten and tear-gassed by the police. The police tried to stop the protesters' march towards the Chief Minister’s house.According to the reports, the Teachers protested against the government demanding basic employee rights and increase in their salaries. However, the peaceful protest turned into a battlefield as the police attempted charged baton and tear gas shells against the protesters to stop them from entering the red zone.
