Oregon is the capital of Pinot Noir in the United States. No other area can produce with such consistency, great Pinot Noir other than of course, Burgundy in France. From the time of the movie Sideways, Oregon has bathed in the light of success, selling out of vintages on a regular basis. Things have calmed down a bit, but Pinot Noir is still on the top of the list for many Wine enthusiasts. I get a chance to taste many Pinot Noir over the course of a month, and this particular Pinot caught my attention, not only because of the quality, but the price was right as well. آ* 2017 Farmlands Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley, OR)â?¦ $24.Aromas of baked earth, crushed red brick, cherries, red flowers and hints of Asian spices. Good attack of red cherries and red flowers on the palate from front to finish. Savory earth notes join up on the back-end with a kiss of tobacco. Solid acidity that is well-integrated with the fruit, gives this Pinot excellent structure. Red flower notes dominate the mid-palate into the finish where citrus notes join up and hang-out with the red flower, tobacco and earth notes. A savory effort with enough fruit to keep most palates interested.آ* Made from Biodynamically grown grapes. (B+/A-) Distributed by American NW Distributors آ* Cheers! Stan The Wine Man a.k.a.
