Ruby Dee, Decorated Actress, Activist and Writer, Dead at 91
   Ruby Dee, the multitalented and highly Decorated Actress, writer and Activist has died at the age of 91. Dee died Wednesday in her home in New Rochelle, New York, of natural causes, her personal representative confirmed Thursday. Dee got her start on Broadway, but easily made the transition to television and film, and was **minated for eight Emmy Awards, winning one for the 1990 TV movie Decoration Day. She also won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album with her late husband Ossie Davis, With Ossie and Ruby: In This Life Together, which tied with former President Jimmy Carter in 2007. Read more...
