 We are what we eat, but we’re also the Metabolism that does the eating. Each one of us has a unique metabolism, and that makes it important for us to tailor our diets and exercise to how we actually absorbs the nutrients in our food. This proposition sounds daunting, since most of us know little about the details of our own metabolisms, but a new Device can certainly help. The Lumen, a product of Metaflow, a company based in Israel, is used to measure whether your body is currently burning more fat or carbs. Coupled with an accompanying app, the Lumen can provide a kind of audit on one’s eating habits and points to what can be done to achieve one’s personal goals.
