To accommodate patients battling it out at the front lines of the obesity epidemic, Toshiba is releasing a new PET/CT tomograph*that’s been designed to improve patient comfort and safety when undergoing scans. The device features a 90 cm CT bore and a 88 cm PET Bore, the largest in the industry for a PET/CT scanner.
Additionally, fast Imaging times are guaranteed thanks to a 450 ps time-of-flight resolution for PET and 32 slice CT scanning, as well as due to a large field of view (70 cm for CT and PET, and 85 cm for CT on its own). The Scanner also includes Toshiba’s AIDR 3D tech**logy that helps to reduce the radiation dose from the CT scanner.
