We are looking to get a couple of new saddles for the boy.We currently have a gp (an old Jeffries Falcon that I ADORE) but it was my previous horse's and we'd like to fit him his own. The budget is around £2k for everything, and currently looking at second hand.We mostly hack, but I'm hoping to get out eventing properly and do dip into sponsored rides and local sj shows etc. So a jumping saddle is a definite.However, we're not certain on What the other saddle should be. We're thinking of spending more money on this one as it will be more of an everyday saddle and want it super comfy! Mum is very comfortable in the GP, and has never ridden in a dressage saddle before so is uncertain how stable she'd feel in one. She's also not into jumping so the other saddle needs to be right for her. I was thinking potentially a GPD - something thats similar to What she's used to and she can hack in, but a bit more styled to dressage as she does flatwork a few times a week and is thinking of entering some low level BD competitions when she's ready.So I'm not sure whether just to get another GP, maybe the GPD or even a proper dressage saddle to go with the jumping one. I know its personal preference and might be very different once the saddler comes out, but thought I better start thinking about it (so the poor chap doesn't have to bring hundreds of saddles! :D) and because HHO is always brilliant with advice!Thanks in advance :)
