 The MedCline Sleep assist device from Amenity Health, a San Diego, CA firm, won European regulatory approval to be marketed as a medical device for preventing Acid reflux. We at Medgadget tried the MedCline ourselves and wrote a comprehensive review of the innovative product. The MedCline positions the sleeper in an inclined position, and thanks to an arm pocket allows one to Sleep throughout the night on the left side.*A left side sleeping position is critical for GERD patients since it places the stomach in an orientation that helps prevent Acid from moving up the esophagus. This may also be beneficial for pregnant women that often experience Acid reflux.We were pleased with the System in our review, since unlike pillow wedges it makes sleeping a lot more comfortable. It does come at a cost, but compared to drugs, other therapies, or continued suffering, may be a reasonable for a lot of people.
