Damascus, May 28 (IANS) A senior Syrian official said Wednesday that Tur**ut has been high in overseas balloting of the country's presidential elections. "The Tur**ut in the presidential elections for Syrians abroad is high and the decision by some countries to ban the voting process on their territories runs against the international law and the Syrian sovereignty," Reconciliation minister Ali Haidar told Xinhua in an interview. Syria's Ambassador in Beirut, Ali Abdulkarim, was quoted by SANA as saying that the number of voters is expected to hit tens of thousands. Overseas Syrians started to cast ballots Wednesday in the presidential elections.
