My mare has been kicked. It was healing ok but to cut a long story short it's all gone a bit wrong and she's ended up having to stay at the vets on intensive antibiotics. I think she is going to be ok it seems to be healing well. But I'm bit concerned about the bill as she's not insured! By the end of it (well when she comes out of hospital, all being well) she will have had: Xrays ultrasound scan cleaning / flushing 5 days antibiotics injected into infected area followed my oral antibiotics 10 days stay at equine hospital inc. bandaging etc. and ongoing vet care Not going to be cheap is it?
