My mare is a 15hh connemara.Ive only owned her 10 months. She was never very forward going but happily hacked jumped and schooled when asked. Her previous owner only rode her once or twice a week at the most so after we bought her and started working her the cracks started to show! After going on schooling livery whilst i was on holiday i couldnt get her over a jump. Had her back done and she was very sore.From then she just went downhill. She became more reluctant to move forward. Eventually her hocks and stifles were injected. No better.She went for more tests and arthiritis found in her neck. Medicated and no better.Suspensorys blocked.. no different.She is not reactive to any back or sacroilliac pressure but she is now being referred to newmarket for scintigraphy scan so hopefully get to the bottom of it.She is now at a point when she just REFUSES to canter.Anyone had anything similar?? Shes only 7 ☹
