افتراضي Opinions please, confused and gutted.

This may be a long winded story but I'm just so confused...I bought an exracer last year, after a few months I started to notice scuffed knees and fur that looked like it had been pushed up the wrong way. Then one night he was seen dozing in his stable before seemingly zoning out wobbling back looking asleep before dropping to his knees and then snapping out of it. I had the vet out who gave him a work up and a check up. All seemed well and we discussed the possibility of sleep deprivation in the event as he'd just moved yards, owners etc and told to keep an eye. He then started the habit of looking around to the right and then swinging his head around to the left in a big sweeping movement. Seemed to be worse if he felt extra stress such as his being in his stable alone but occasionally will just do it. The vet suggested to first have an oesteo and a chiropractor to see if that showed anything up. So I had him seen by both one who found general tightness and has seen him regularly and gave me exercises and stretches for him. The chiropractor assessed and found an old injury around his poll which she said was most likely old but maybe could be causing something. Now in this time he continued to display the sleep deprivation behaviour, never caused an issue in any other sense only when extremely relaxed. Although he had been seen to lie down also at times and sleep so? Then the final thing... last week he was bought in, went to get down and roll like he does often and seemed to just collapse. Eyes rolling, twitching muscles and appeared to look as though he was running. Lasted about 30 seconds. He was off for a few hours, off his food, poor mucus membrane return, a temp of 38.4 and appeared to tremor. He did however recover fully and went completely back to normal. Had the vet who took lots of bloods which I'm still waiting for. He also said he thinks horse has narcolepsy not sleep deprivationHe assessed his neck also and horse was funny about it. He said to wait for bloods and then possibly look at scans of his neck in case of compression.I asked him to be honest about prognosis and he said as he thinks he's got narcolepsy riding him is a risk and if the bloods return normal perhaps scanning wouldn't be productive as finding out what caused the fit like episode can be costly with no guarantee of an answer. Considering he had another issue to start with good fortune is not on his side. Now I'm just so confused and I don't know what to do... if the bloods are clear do I go ahead and try investigate further? Do I just call it a day and just have him as a lawn mower even though he's only 8? PTS? My head is spinning and I'm totally gutted it's turned out this way. Old owner has been no help what so ever..Any options welcome
