Kobe Bryant now has an Oscar thanks to everyone who voted for Dear Basketball to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Short.

The short is narrated by Bryant and describes his love for the game, per Deadline.*

Bryant, who won along with Glen Keane, left a sour taste in many people's mouths with his win on Sunday night, considering the former professional basketball player was accused of rape. Terrible always, and particularly not a great look given the current climate of Hollywood and the Time's Up movement fighting back against men who are Accused of sexual assault and harassment.
