RAWALPINDI: Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom when Indian troops opened unprovoked firing in the Bhimber Sector on Wednesday, says an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
The Pakistan Army troops responded to unprovoked Indian firing effectively and silenced the Indian guns. There were reports of substantial damage to the Indian posts. martyred soldiers include Sepoy Muneer Chohan, 32 years of age, resident of village Kahuta, and Sepoy Amir Hussain, 28 years of age, resident of District Bhimber. The Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan remained extremely volatile, with ceasefire violations by Indian troops already jumping to over 400 in the first two months of this year. Apart from civilians, Pakistan lost 23 soldiers in the firing incidents. Earlier, defence attaches of US, UK, France, China, Turkey and Indonesia visited the Line of Control in Rawalakot Sector of AJ&K the other day. The attaches were briefed about the Indian atrocities along the Line of Control and deliberate targeting of civilians by the Indian Army. The defence attaches interacted with victims and gained first-hand knowledge about their sufferings.
