ISLAMABAD: Justice Aamir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) here on Tuesday would hear in a matter where a petitioner is seeking a ban on telecast of Nawaz Sharif speeches and initiation of contempt of court proceedings against him for allegedly maligning the judiciary according to the petitioner.The petition was fixed in the cause list by IHC Registrar office here Monday. It is to mention here that the petitioner Makhdoom Niaz Inqilabi in the past a few months filed several petitions and intra court appeals with similar contentions while most of those were dismissed. Petitioner Inqilabi once again filed a petition in this regard while citing Ministry of Information secretary and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) chairman as respondent. The petitioner contended that Nawaz Sharif had been maligning the superior judiciary therefore legal proceedings be initiated against him.
