AC testifies NAB witness in Nawaz reference

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witness Abdul Wahid recorded his statement before the Accountability Court in supplementary reference against Sharif family with regard to their London-based Avenfield properties.
The statements was recorded before the Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir in which he informed the court that he had previously provided CDs containing Sharif?s address to nation, speech at parliament, interviews of Hussain Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz, to the NAB.
Khawaja Harris, leading counsel for Sharif family, cross-examined the NAB witness and argued that the three CDs provided by the prosecution to him were damaged.
The player is supporting the videos? format and CDs are absolutely fine,? NAB Deputy Prosecution General Sardar Muzaffar Abbas quipped.Later, on the directions of the court, three CDs were also played at the courtroom. Subsequently, the bench due to shortage of time adjourned further hearing of the case till February 13. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (R) Safdar were in attendance during hearing of the case.
