افتراضي Shahbaz opens Rs5.5b health projects in Multan

MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday blasted the political rivals, describing Asif Ali Zardari as a plunderer and Imran Khan as the ?IG of liars?.
He said Zardari had looted the national wealth but was claiming to ensure the return of looted wealth and Imran remained busy round the clock in lying. Never vote for them, Shahbaz asked the people of Multan.
On the other hand, the chief minister said, the PML-N was delivering a lot for people of Pakistan in health, energy, education and infrastructure development.
Shahbaz was addressing the inaugural ceremony of seven health projects ? including the state-of-the-art Kidney Centre near Sher Shah ? at a cost of Rs5.5 billion. Other projects are the DHQ Hospital, new block at Multan Children Complex and southern Punjab?s first burn unit.
The chief minister criticised Zardari for his language and Imran for lies. He said Imran failed to establish a hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last four and half years but continued with his politics of sit-ins and lockdowns.
He said the country was making progress and experiencing a revolution in all fields under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif. He said the PML-N had promised ending loadshedding from the country which was facing 20 hours of outages when the PML-N came into power. ?Situation has now changed after a series of energy projects,? Shahbaz noted.
He said if masses elected the PML-N in the next general elections, the party would bring a development revolution across the country.
Shahbaz took notice of the negligence on the part of Multan DC Nadir Chattha for not establishing waiting rooms at the DHQ Hospital and promised action.
The chief minister also took a notice on the unavailability of heart surgeon at Multan Children Complex and ordered the health minister to ensure appointment on urgent basis. He said Rs2 billion had been spent on the Multan Children Complex extension project but non-availability of cardiac surgeon had surprised him.The chief minister said he had noticed that the number of dialysis machines was not sufficient to cater the needs of kidney patients and directed health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique to provide 150 new ones in shortest possible period.
