CompView Medical recently released its new NuBOOM display and space management system for Minimally Invasive surgery. The NuBOOM S is a budget Conscious system ($55 K) designed for outpatient Facilities that features two high definition displays and provides an optional third arm for lighting or to hang a leaded radiation shield.
The system is floor mounted, and unlike more complicated ceiling mounted units, can be installed in a day. It can be setup to use gases with the purchase of a set of valves and can accept more wiring on the inside for additional equipment. The electronic hardware is hidden inside the trunk to give the NuBOOM a clean look and reduce the number of external wires that are the bane of ORs.
