Former interior minister Ch Nisar Khan contested the incumbent interior minister saying that the visa policy had been devised keeping in view the interest of the country. He said that INGOs were working under the federal government while NGOs were operating under provincial government domain. He said the federal government intervened if any INGOs violated their mandate. Chaudhry Nisar pointed out that the United States talked about $30 billion but it should also be audited as to how much amount was given to the INGOs and how much money out of that was spent in Pakistan. Dr Shireen Mazari said the process of On-arrival issuance of visas had been started again while succumbing to the American pressure saying the decision had posed security threats to the country. The PTI parliamentarian said that in the past, such policy helped in arrival of Blackwater in Pakistan saying that it would also help INGOs fulfill their designs. She pointed out that the country to whom the facility of On-arrival visas had been given did not issue visas to Pakistanis easily. The National Assembly also unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming support for the just and legitimate struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination as per the UN Security Council resolutions. The resolution was adopted in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed on February 5 whereas the House was scheduled to be prorogued on Thursday (today). The resolution moved by Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjees Tahir strongly denounced the black laws enacted in the Valley. It said eight hundred thousand (800,000) Indian troops in Held Kashmir had martyred one hundred thousand innocent Kashmiri people including freedom fighter Burhan Wani. It noted with concerns the detention of hundreds of Hurriyat leaders and workers and registration of fake cases against them.The resolution pointed out that women and youth had been made victim of state terrorism in occupied Kashmir whilst use of pellet guns had also affected the eyesight of thousands of youth.
