PTI to file application with NAB to reopen Hudaibiya case
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday decided to file a formal application to the National Accountability Bureau chairman tomorrow (Thursday) for reopening the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case and vowed to forcefully pursue the matter.
The decision was taken here at the PTI meeting chaired by Imran Khan, which also decided to have a meeting of the party?s parliamentary board on January 16 to make preparations for the next general elections. The forum reiterated its full support to the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) for ensuring justice to the victims of the Model Town tragedy and announced to actively take part in Tahirul Qadri?s protest campaign on January 17. The meeting also called for making public the Raja Zafarul Haq report on the issue of alleged change in the oath about Finality of the Prophethood. The PTI media team was directed to vehemently pursue the cases in the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) and Press Council of Pakistan (PCP) for which applications were filed with the regulatory authority and the council with regards to what the party alleged the immoral and based on lies a propaganda campaign against Imran Khan. In the applications, the PTI contended that for the last 72 hours, an immoral propaganda campaign because of hatred and prejudice was being pursued against Imran Khan, who had already presented his point of view in a completely clear and unambiguous manner.The party noted that Manika family had also unmasked the falsehood and conspiracy. It called on Pemra to stop Geo from carrying out this propaganda campaign and also the Press Council should seek explanation from Jang and The News.
