Another name being considered for finance secretary post
ISLAMABAD: Ruling out possibility for granting extension to finance secretary Shahid Mehmood, who is going to retire tomorrow (Friday), the prime minister is considering different names, including one top bureaucrat Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, for appointing at powerful seat in the finance Ministry.
Mr Jehanzeb is currently working in Punjab as Planning and Development Board chairman. ?The appointment of finance secretary will be done in consultation with the Punjab CM, Shahbaz Sharif,? said the sources who predict that Shahbaz Sharif will be playing key role at the Center after PML-N decision to nominate him for next premiership slot on the occasion of next general elections.
