EASYLOG Insulin Pen Injection Monitor Cleared in EU
 BIOCORP, a company based in France, won European clearance to introduce its EASYLOG device for easy monitoring of Insulin pen injector usage. It fits on most common pen injectors and records the dose delivered, including the product concentration, as well as the time and date of when the Injection happened. The device itself doesn’t have a display screen, so the data is transferred to the user’s smartphone for review at any time. The readings are also transferred to an online portal for doctors and caretakers to be able to analyze as necessary. Usage of the Injection pen is not modified in any way by attaching the EASYLOG to it. The device provides visual and audio reminders of when injections are recommended. It even warns the user if it thinks a double-dose is being administered by mistake. The device is disposable and, due to its simplicity, should be fairly cheap once it’s available for purchase.
