No court to stay any anti-encroachment action: SC

LAHORE: Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar observed on Thursday that no court in the country would issue a stay order against any anti-encroachment operation.
Hearing a petition, the apex court asked the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general how a private hospital, Hameed Latif Hospital, was constructed in a residential area at Ferozpur Road of Lahore.
The LDA chief submitted documents to the court and stated that whenever the Authority takes an action against commercial establishments in residential areas, the courts issue stay orders.The chief justice observed that now onwards no court would issue any stay order against any campaign against illegal buildings and encroachments.
