An injured green vine snake was rescued from roadside in Puri district on December 5 and was brought to College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry for treatment. The X-ray revealed that the snake had a fractured spinal cord due to which it was unable to move the lower part of its body. A plastic transparent tube was cut into two halves and After further shortening of the tube, sterilized cotton was applied on it as protective padding. Now, After 22 days of immobilization of the spine, the spinal damage has healed compeltely as revealed in the latest X-ray.
