Sprint’s Q1
loss narrows but
nearly half a
million subscribers flee

Sprint on Tuesday an**unced its earnings results for the first quarter of the year, revealing that it lost
nearly half a
million net customers during the period. The carrier said it lost 231,000 net postpaid subscribers*and 364,000 net prepaid customers during Q1 2014, with the
Sprint platform serving
nearly 54
million subscribers in total at the end of the quarter. The company sold 5
million smartphones during the period and moved 3
million customers
onto new Sprint Framily plans.
