HBO Go Users Must Wait Extra Day for John Oliver's 'Last Week Tonight'
The marketing behind John Oliver's new HBO show Last Week Tonight has been a self-awareness blitz: Yes, it's a weekly news anthology in a time of up-to-the-minute updates and commentary, and yes, they're making fun of themselves for that. Even the title is a tongue-in-cheek apology for the show's last-to-report-it setup.
HBO Go devotees will have to be even more patient, however — what they're getting is something more like Last Week Tonight, But on the Following Day. And that's **t going to change anytime soon.
