Sounds like someone wants to break free: Fox has suspended filming on its upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic because, last we checked, the show can't go on without its director.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's high-profile helmer, Bryan Singer, "failed to return to set after the Thanksgiving holiday break, leaving producers nervous about the state of the production and talking about potentially replacing him."
