Govt asked to compensate displaced Mahsuds
WANA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief organiser for Fata Dost Muhammad Mahsud on Wednesday asked the federal government to compensate more than 500 families of Mahsud tribe displaced from Shaktoi and Bobar areas in South Waziristan.
Talking to reporters here, he said the development funds released by the federal government were not being spent on Fata. He appealed to the Supreme Court to take notice of the pathetic conditions under which the internally displaced persons were living and direct the relevant quarters to provide them relief. The PTI leader said that step-motherly treatment was being meted to the tribal population that was creating the feeling of insecurity and alienation among the tribespeople.
